The BISHOP of Honolulu provides for the administration, support and management of diocesan and parish schools.

The SUPERINTENDENT is delegated by the bishop to act on his behalf in the administration and supervision of schools. He/she is the chief administrative officer of the Hawaii Catholic Schools.

The PASTOR is the spiritual leader and chief administrator of the parish. He delegates to the principal the responsibility for the ordinary administration of the school.

The PRINCIPAL is the educational and spiritual leader of the school. The educational quality of the school, the religious tone and atmosphere, the maintenance of good order, and the spirit of cooperation between home and school are the responsibilities of the principal. She recruits and organizes the staff, develops a sense of common purpose and solidarity among them and together with them establishes the curriculum. She supervises the operation of the educational program from day to day.

The TEACHER is a person with an active faith in Jesus Christ and respect for the Church's teaching authority. The teacher guides the students to form a faith community wherein students can discover the Christian outlook and values not only in academic theories, but also in social/real life situations.
